To the pious Christians of Ano Mera My blessed Christians,
the incarnation of God and the Word of God, which recently and this year we deserved to celebrate, brought to the world the dawn of a new era, of the era of man's salvation and his restoration to original beauty!
Accordingly, only within the Church, which our Lord Jesus Christ founded with Your precious Blood, and by participating in Your Mystical life, man is reborn, is being renovated, he becomes another person, man of God, a man of genuine and sacrificial love for God and fellow man, a man of peace and harmony, of hope and patience, of social solidarity and offering to the other person without exclusions and discrimination, our brother !
Nevertheless, Nevertheless, individuals and organizations have recently appeared on our island as well, that through the internet, but also lectures, they develop beliefs (e.g, global energy) and practice (eg meditation), which are absolutely incompatible with our Orthodox faith.
These are positions that we find in groups and followers of the highly anti-Christian space of the so-called "New Age" (Newage), even combined, many times, and with an attractive vocabulary.
These "therapeutic" cults, Alternative or "quantum therapies" are constantly increasing and promise to cure every psychosomatic condition, Although they belong to the occult phenomenon of the NEW AGE.
These alternative healing methods are based on Eastern metaphysics and are unscientific and unorthodox.
They supposedly use ancient healing systems, as are the invisible and unverifiable actions of various names (which are not recognized by western medicine) and healing is achieved according to them energetically, global and holistic level.
Their purpose is to balance the supposed occult 'ether', or by any other name of the same content action, which apparently stopped inside the patient, and that is why they believe that he got sick.
It is an industry that spreads in the form of numerous clubs and is offered with occult - however artfully and rationally advertised in our time- teachings, which are constantly checked and revealed, in their deviant health practice, from many medical associations and eminent doctors in Europe and America.
A pastoral issue arises when enough Christians, While they attend church and receive communion and accept the things of faith, Nevertheless, without realizing it, they also participate in paramedical centers and pagan treatment proposals, which are characterized as anti-Christian or at best pseudo-scientific.
The Church is a mental hospital, accepts all people suffering from various diseases without exception, and heals them with the holy mysteries.
Undoubtedly, freedom of expression is a precious commodity, which is absolutely guaranteed in our country.
Simultaneously, Nevertheless, it is also an act of responsibility of the pastors of the Church of Christ to inform the people of God about doctrines incompatible with Orthodox teaching and about heterodox teachings, that lead unsuspecting people to perdition!
Orthodox Christians always remember, among the others, and the Pauline exhortation to beware of "deceitful and hollow reasonings of human wisdom, which are based on human traditions and a mistaken belief in the elements of the world and not in the teaching of Christ" (Col. 2,8), and for’ that is, they do not adopt beliefs and do not participate in practices that are contrary to their Christian faith.
