The divine word preached instructively, theologically and demonstratively, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Serres, Mr. Theologian, who emphasized that on Pentecost we celebrate the revelation of two Mysteries:
Firstly, of the Mystery of the Epiphany of the Holy Trinity, with the appearance of the Father, in the form of fire, of the Son, in the form of languages, and the Holy Spirit, in the form of violent breathing.
Secondly, of the Mystery of the Church, Whom the Holy Trinity continues and Whom is the treasurer of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, it is the Body of Christ, members of Whom we are all believers, we are sanctified and saved in him.
He added that the ministers of Her Mysteries are the Clerics, who continue throughout the centuries the redemptive work of the Apostles, whose successors are the Bishops, which form the link of local believers with the Universal Church and sacrifice themselves for the Truth, like the today honored Saint Hieromartyr Dorotheos.
"For this, he added, "we came from Macedonia to celebrate today the name day of His Excellency Mr. Dorotheou B’ , because the feast of a Bishop is a feast of sympathy of the Church"!
After not underlining the importance of the spiritual bonds between the Bishops, wished His Excellency Mr. Dorotheo B’ many and bright years!
