In his speech, Panosiol. Archimandrite. Meletios Zacharopoulos, on the occasion of the recent terrorist act referred to evil and in particular to terrorism by linking them to the present Apostolic and Evangelical Reading, the Men Apostolic, which invites us to become fellow citizens of the Saints and close to God, the Evangelical, parable of the Good Samaritan and stressed that what does not exist in the city of God is evil, a situation, which with the Sunday prayer we ask to prevail on this planet as well.
It was mentioned, also, to the evil that is visible to the naked eye and frightens us, such as wars, the genocides, the murders, the robberies, terrorism, but also in the undetectable evil, and in particular terrorism, prevailing within the individual, family and collective relationships, between religions and ideologies and stressed that while it is easy to spot evil, that is outside of us and to stigmatize and denounce it, it is very difficult to find the ability to each personally detect evil- darkness within us and to wonder whether we contribute to the prevalence of evil on the planet, in our relationships and lives, having as a model the Good Samaritan, who transcended national and religious walls and helped his suffering fellow human being.
After the end of the Divine Liturgy, a procession of the Icon of Panagia Tourliani took place, which was framed by the Philharmonic Department of the Municipality of Athens, to the Offices of the Brotherhood, where the President Mrs..
