It was preceded by a Divine Liturgy at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Megali Panagia, and then the Mass of the Great Consecration was performed by the High Priest of the temple Protopresbyter p. Peter Maragos in the presence of a crowd of believers who flooded the holy temple watching the doxology and at the end receiving the established Sanctification.

After the end of the Divine Liturgy, a procession was formed and headed to the three wells where, according to custom, the Great Sanctification was performed by the Holy Clergy and the three parishes of the Island and then to Molaraki of Kadena, where the Holy Cross was immersed by the High Priestly Commissioner. The official celebrations of the Epiphany in Mykonos were attended by Mayor Konstantinos Koukas, Deputy mayors, alderman, the Commander of the 6th MSEP, the Harbor Master and the Police Commander.
