which is chaired by Ms. Marianna Vardinogianni, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador and President of the Association of Friends of Children with Cancer “HOPE”.
Ministers Ms. Olga Kefalogiannis and Mr.. Adonis Georgiadis and Panos Panagiotopoulos, the President of the National Transplant Organization, the Governor of the Children's Hospital “Hagia Sophia”, the Commander of the Hospital's Transplantation Unit, the Executive Director of the Karaiskakeios Foundation of Cyprus, the Rector of the University of Patras, accompanying the Honorable Director of the NGO “SHIPMENT” K. K. Dimptsa. the artist Sakis Rouvas, Judicial, Areopagites, You are an ambassador, former Ministers, doctors and nurses.
The event was framed by a moving performance on the piano by twelve-year-old Georgios Velivanakis.
The Eminence. Dorotheos II, after expressing his thanks to His Beatitude the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Mr. Hieronymus II for the honorary assignment to him of His representation, read His message and, addressed to Mrs. Marianna Vardinogianni, he said characteristically:
“In your face is embodied the words of the wise Solomon about the virtuous and philanthropic woman, who names her “prowess” and “more precious luxury stones”, which, like you, “with her hand opened peneti, fruit did not last, I am poor”.
With the project, that we are launching today, you are opening your arms to the olive oil neophytes of our society, who were so prematurely struck by unexpected diseases and for whom there is Hope, because your Vision exists!
His Beatitude Archbishop Mr. Jerome II and our Church are always fellow travelers in the great work, that you perform, wishes and prays for the success of this and all your projects, necessary for our society and for its sensitive part, the children, visualize.
Entering this magnificent building I read your handwritten signature “Dedicated to the Greek People” and I thought that as long as there are people like you our country can move forward with optimism, without bending the knee or submitting to anyone!”
