The Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, participating in the grief and suffering of the entire Greek people for the tragic fatal train accident in the area of Tempi, defined as after the end of the Divine Liturgy of the next Sunday of Orthodoxy, 5 Of March 2023, a Memorial Service for the repose of the victims of this bloody tragedy will be held in all the Holy Temples of the Church of Greece.
To this end, he has already sent a relevant Circular Note to the Holy Archdiocese of Athens and the Holy Metropolises of the Church of Greece.
His Beatitude Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Mr. Jerome and the members of the Permanent Holy Synod, in the Cathedral Church of the Annunciation of the Mother of God of Athens, where the Synodal Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Sunday, they will perform the Holy Memorial for the repose of the victims, in the presence of His Excellency the President of the Hellenic Republic, Ms. Ekaterini Sakellaropoulou and His Excellency the Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakou Mitsotaki.
