The Holy memory of the glorious Saint, and the Famous and Leading Apostle Peter, celebrated the eponymous Holy Chapel of I.M.. Panagia Tourliani, is located on the property of the Monastery, in Ano Mera of Mykonos.
With solemnity and special immersion in the old homonymous Chapel of Agios Apostolos Petros of the Holy Monastery of Panagia Tourliani, the Orthros Sequence was performed and then the Festive Divine Liturgy, round’ Artoklasia, by the Professor of the Monastery Panosiologiotato Archimandrite p. Alexios Papadopoulos, with the presence of Mykonian flags.

Ἀπολυτίκιον [ Δχος δ ’]
The first thrones of the Apostles, κιὶ της Οἰκουμένης διδάσκαλοι, of the Despot of all you have been ambassador, ειρήνην τη οἰκουμένῃ δωρήσασθαι, and to our souls the great mercy.
Saint Peter the Apostle came from Bethsaida in Galilee. He was the son of Jonah and the brother of St. Andrew the Apostle the First Called.. Petros and Andreas were fishermen on Lake Gennesaret.
Christ told His famous word to the Apostle Peter: «I do not say to you ὅτι σύ εἶ τρο Πέτρος, καί ἐπί ταύτῃ τῇ πέτρᾳ οἰκοδομήσω μου τήν ἐκκλησίαν, καί πύλαι ἅδου οὐ κατισχύσουσιν αὐτῆς ».
After the Ascension of the Lord, Peter, taught the Gospel in Judea, in Antioch, in Pontus, in Galatia, in Cappadocia, in Asia and Bithynia. According to legend, reached as far as Rome, where on Nero (54-68A.D.) suffered a martyr's death, after he was crucified, upside down around the year 64 A.D.
