He has been in Greece since last Thursday 9 December delegation of the Archdiocese of America, under the theophilous bishop Midea Apostolos, with a mission to distribute the amount of one million dollars collected in the Relief Fund for the relief of individuals and businesses affected by the devastating fires of the summer.
Archbishop Elpidophoros was the one who proceeded to set up the above fund and in collaboration with the charity organization IOCC addressed all the communities in the United States of America to carry out a special fundraiser.

The delegation of the Archdiocese of America, in which the treasurer of the Archdiocesan Council participates, Helen Allen, and the second vice-president of the National Insolvency Fund, Annita Kartalopoulou, upon her arrival in Athens she visited the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Hieronymos in order to receive his wish and blessing.
Thursday afternoon, the delegation visiting the affected areas in both Evia and the Athens Basin to determine the best possible way to help our fellow citizens who have been tested, had a meeting with the vice-governor of Evia, George Kelaiditis, who handed her a list of local businesses and individuals who were tested by the fires. A little later, the delegation was welcomed by the Metropolitan of Chalkida Chrysostomos, who was even offered a donation for the restoration costs of the Holy Monastery of Saint David, with which Archbishop Elpidophoros is spiritually connected.
The support program for both individuals and businesses has already started and is expected to be completed in May 2022, based on identified needs, but also those that will be determined in the near future.
