The Most Venerable Archimandrite of the Holy Metropolis of Syros - Mykonos & Delos and Professor of the Holy Monastery of Panagia Tourliani p. Alexios Papadopoulos,performed today Thursday 26 August 2021, Divine Liturgy in the Holy Chapel of Agios Nikolaos on the beach of Merchia, Mykonos, of the Franzeska Kounani family.
The eponymous Holy Chapel was erected in the year 1994, at the expense of Petroulas and Dimitriou Kounanis. Its openings were made the following year by the then Archimandrite, His Excellency today, Metropolitan of Syros and Mykonos, K. Dorotheos b. The children of the sleeping owners, Vassilis and Franzeska Kounani continue the family tradition.
Immediately after the Divine Liturgy, gifts and bread were distributed to the faithful and they exchanged wishes.. Then the owners of the temple, They offered a hearty treat with delicious delicacies and local wine to everyone, in the “Cell” and in the courtyard of the Temple.
