The historic church of Agios Charalambos, in Asia Minor Cesme, opposite Chios currently operates eve of the feast of St. Ecumenical Patriarch. Βαρθολομαίος…….. Η λειτουργία πραγματοποιείται στο Ναό – μνημείο, acting with the authorization given to the Ecumenical Patriarchate by the Turkish authorities.
The temple, currently used by the Municipality of Cesme as multipurpose events, first opened as a church after the Asia Minor disaster in February 2016. It is a large triple basilica built in 1832 it constituted seat of the Metropolitan Fountain (Cesme in Turkish) after the establishment of the 1903. Until then originally established parish in Diocese of Ephesus Khmer Metropolis and later bishop within the limits of the same Diocese.
