New Year Divine Liturgy and cutting of Santa Claus pie in Megali Panagia

With non-stop rain and cold, we welcomed a large congregation on the first day of the new year at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Megali Panagia. After the Divine Liturgy we blessed the Agiovasiliopita…….

of our parish and we wished all our present and praying brothers a happy new year, blessed and may the new year be full of God's blessings.

We especially thanked him for his prayerful presence, our dear son in spirit Mr. Stelio Brigo, Deputy Governor and Prefect of Mykonos.

The young Dimitris Kousathanas found him “lucky” number, after a draw and received the souvenir of the day.

After the distribution of the Saint's Pie and a pocket calendar, edition of our Holy Metropolis, we transferred the icon of Saint Basil to his homonymous holy chapel.
