"Today Hellenism remembers, celebrates and honors the great Christian festival of summer, of the Dormition of the Virgin.
It celebrates every corner of Greece, as there is no part of our country without a church dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
It also celebrates the Aegean archipelago with its islands , since on every island there is a church or chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary , holy pilgrimage for all islanders.
Today is the Feast of the Virgin Mary ,is the biggest celebration in the Cyclades. From Tinos, with the holy pilgrimage of the Virgin Mary, Kythnos with Panagia Kanala, Naxos with Panagia Filotitissa, Amorgos with Panagia Hozoviotissa, as here today when we honor and celebrate the grace of Our Lady of Ekatontapyliani in Paros.
Our Lady, "priceless talisman" for everyone, forges the unity of our country, it steels our souls, strengthens national unity ,so that we can deal with any problem, and difficulty.
I wish with all my heart that the Virgin Mary of Paros will protect every Greek home, every family and our entire country.
