The Theodore Feast of the "Dormition of the Virgin"

My dear brothers,
Today is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The fifteenth of August is the greatest Mother of God feast of the church year and faithful Christians call it "Summer Easter", because on this day we constitute……spiritual feast and we celebrate the holy Dormition and miraculous Transfiguration of the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. The sacred Dormition of the Virgin is for the faithful a holy Mystery.

He entered into the tragic reality of suffering and death and by His Crucifixion and Resurrection He abolished the power of death. Whoever believes in Christ is not afraid of death and sees pain through a different lens.

Really, my dear brothers, the Saints of the Church, having as their model the crucified Christ, they walked and are walking the path of earthly life, with a companion of diseases, the sorrows and trials.

They did not let their souls be oligopy but used pain as a medication spiritual to bring their hearts to self -knowledge and devotion, to experience patience and humility and through the attitude of repentance, to raise hope, their faith and love for God.

Pain helps us discover our true face and throw away our selfish and hypocritical masks. The hours of pain and sorrows, man opens his heart to God, he begins to pray and repent of his sins.

The soul softens and learns to trust and love both God and people. Dear brothers in Christ. None of us Hoi people can boast, how he will stay away from pain and sorrows.

 

The Lord, pointed out to us, that in this world we shall taste sorrow. But never lose our courage and hope. He, Our Lord and God, won and abolished the pharmacist center of pain and death.

The Church knows us, that sometimes we bend under the weight of a variety of tests. That is why even today it gives us hope and consolation, celebrating the sacred Dormition of the Virgin Mary.

Supporter and helper without conditions and limits, to sinners and righteous, regardless of nation.

The earthly goods that we insatiably accumulate testify to this but cannot provide it for us, decay and death ultimately dominate natural phenomena and human works. She became the Mother of Zoe and was transferred to Zoe. Gives Life, emanates Life, quenches the thirst of the afflicted man, regenerates us for Life.

We turn to the Virgin sometimes with feelings of gratitude and thanksgiving, sometimes with pain, heartbreak and despair, sometimes with deep complaint. She diligently and with special love watches over our prayer and "no one disheartened comes forth" from the Mother, but acts in "the interest of the application".
