That Thursday night, before n’ start dinner, Jesus gets up from the table, he lays down his robes, he puts water in the sink and does everything himself, washing the feet of His Disciples. In this way, he wants to show’ everyone that we should not seek primacy. After washing the feet he says: "Whoever wants to be first, to be last from’ everyone".
He first went to Judas and then to Peter, who was the most impetuous ap’ everyone and at first stops the Master, but then when he checked him, he gives in with his heart. After washing everyone's feet, took His robes and sat down again.
He then began to admonish them to love one another and not to seek who would be first. He then spoke to them of the treachery and because they were disturbed, he calmly turns to Ioannis and points to him.
Then He took bread in His hands and said: "Take eat". He did the same with the wine glass saying: "Press ap’ that's all, for this is My blood, of the new Agreement. Do this to remember Me”. After this moment Judas, as soon as he had eaten the bread he left and agreed with the chief priests to hand Him over to them.
After dinner they all went out to the Mount of Olives, where Christ taught them the unheard and last lessons and begins to grieve and to be impatient. He departs alone and, kneeling down, he prays extensively. From much anguish His sweat becomes like drops of thick blood, which fell to the ground. He's just completing that prayerful prayer, Judas arrives with armed soldiers and a large crowd and after greeting and kissing His teacher wickedly, He delivers him.
So Jesus is arrested and brought captive to the High Priests Annas and Caiaphas. The disciples scatter and Peter, the most fervent of the others, followed him to the high priest's court and he also denies that he is His disciple.
Meantime, the divine teacher appears before the illegal assembly, considered for His disciples and teaching, he conjures up God to say whether He is indeed the Christ and, after telling the truth, is judged guilty of death, because thus he blasphemed. From then on they spit in his face, they beat him, they pester him in every way during the whole night, until the morning.
