The Orthro and the Divine Liturgy with’ Artoklasia, in a climate of emotion and religious fervor, done the Most Reverend Archimandrite of the Holy Metropolis of Syros - Mykonos & So and Professor of the Holy Monastery of Panagia Tourliani p. Alexios Papadopoulos, with the co-praying presence of Mykonian believers and Vacationers.

The Cherub Hymn

The hymns of the Divine Liturgy were rendered by the Hierodeacon of the Holy Monastery, Filaretos Adamidis.

Before the Dismissal, His Eminence held a memorial service for the repose of Petroulas and Dimitrios Kounanis.

Immediately after the Divine Liturgy, gifts and bread were distributed to the faithful and they exchanged wishes.. Then the owners of the temple, they offered a hearty treat with delicious delicacies, in the “Cell” and in the courtyard of the Temple.

The eponymous Holy Chapel was erected in the year 1994, expenses of Petroulas and Dimitriou Kounani. It was opened the following year by the then Archimandrite, His Excellency today, Metropolitan of Syros and Mykonos, K. Dorotheo B´. The children of the sleeping owners, Vassilis and Franzeska Kounani continue the family tradition.

Warm thanks to the abbot of the Holy Monastery of Panagia Tourliani Ano Mera Mykonos, Panosiology, Pi. Alexios Papadopoulos, for the overwhelming Divine Liturgy and the Holy Memorials of our parents, as well as Hierodeacon Filaretos.

Sincere and heartfelt thanks, with special mention, to the continuers and custodians of the long and strong tradition of the Mykonians and to everyone, those who contributed to the Divine Liturgy.
