Mykonians commemorated the Holy Child Martyr Mamatos today, in the Catholic Church of the Holy Monastery of Paleokastro, in Ano Mera, where the Honorable Mr. Dorotheos B’ performed the Divine Liturgy, with the participation of the High Priestly Commissioner of Ano Mera and Paleokastro and the Head of the Monastery, Protopr. Vassiliou Tzanidakis and Municipal Councilors Antonis Kousathanas, Dimitris Lazaridis, της Προέδρου της Τοπικής Κοινότητος Άνω Μεράς Ειρήνης Ζουγανέλη, of the Candidate Mayors, etc. Christou Veronis and Andea Fiorentinou, of Nikolaos Gelos, of the President of the Fraternity of Anomeritas Ms. Franceskas Kounanis, of Marousos Lagamtzis, of the Benefactor of the holy Chapel of Agios Mamandos, Mr. Δημ. Silvermouth as well as multitudes of pious Mykonians, that overwhelmed the Temple and the courtyard areas of the Monastery.
After the end of the Divine Liturgy, the hymns of which were performed by Protopsaltis Mr. C. Kamariaris, of the Choir "Antiphonic Member" and the Cantor of the Holy Church of Panahranto Chora, the icon of Agios Mamandos was transported by boat to the homonymous Cemetery Naydrio of the Holy Monastery, where the Honorable Mr. Dorotheos B’ celebrated Trisagio for the repose of the Monazus who were resting there.

For since he possessed Thy strength, he cast down the tyrants and wholly destroyed the demons’ strengthless presumption. O Christ God, by his prayers, save our souls, since Thou art merciful “.
Before the Dismissal, His Eminence Mr.. Dorotheos B’ thank you, praised and congratulated the Head of the Holy Monastery, Protopr. Vassilios Tzanidakis, for his constant concern for it and the work done there, thanked the gathered faithful for their presence and wished everyone a mild and peaceful early autumn.
