His Eminence Dorotheos B’ / The announcement of the death of Anastasios, "Freddy" Daktylides did not leave any Mykonian unmoved, and especially those who knew him and watched his life, its activities and initiatives, that made him "legend of Mykonos".
The late Anastasios "Freddy" Daktylides, ua trailblazing Mykonian died, who with his foresight opened new roads and new perspectives in the economic and social life of the "island of the winds".
Thanks to him, in fact., and his innovative ideas the Holy Monastery of Tourliani decided to capitalize on its unexploited properties in "Lia" and to "Great Meadow".
Committing these reasons to his memory, I must emphasize the love that the late Anastasios "Freddy" Daktylides had for my blessed Predecessor Dorotheos I, Steka, but also towards my face, and to remember that on the day of my election he was in my Office at the Holy Synod and was from the first, who congratulated me.
I can not, also, not to remember and his unforgettable wife Flora, which until the end kept her authentic Mykonian smile,
