The official events began with the solemn Doxology, στον Ιερό Μητροπολιτκό Ναό της “Μεγάλης Παναγιάς”,which was officiated by the Most Reverend High Priest Commissioner of Mykonos and Archpriest of the Church Fr., the elder George Kousathanas and the Deacon George.

After the end of the Doxology,the celebratory speech of the day was delivered by the teacher of Mykonos High School, Georgios Nikos.

The Ensigns and representatives of the schools of all grades attended accompanied by Teachers and Professors.
The Ceremony was honored with their presence by the Mayor of Mykonos, Mr. Konstantinos Koukas,of Cycladic Culture Stelios Brygos, Deputy Mayors Alexandros Koukas, Miltiadis Atzamoglou, Alexandros Vamavakouris, Appointed Advisor Spyros Apostolou, the Municipal Councilor and President of DEYAM Frandescos Vigliaris,the Municipal Councilor and President of LT Mykonos Takis Manesis the Municipal Councilors Antonis Kousathanas, Maria Kusathana, Tonia Andronikou, Eleni Kontiza, Anna Kami, Marousule Haniotis, Irini Gryparis and the President of the Community Council of Ano Mera Petros Stavrakopoulos.
also, the Doxology was attended by representatives of the military authorities and the Security Forces led by the Commanders of the 6th MSEP , of the Police Department, of the Fire Department and the Harbor Master of Mykonos
Upon completion of the eulogy, the representatives of the Municipal Authority, of the military authorities and the Security Forces as well as the Ensigns went to the beach, at the Fallen Memorial for the Memorial Service and Wreath Laying.
