And not being able to approach him through the crowd, they removed the roof where it was, and digging loose the tie where the paralytic was lying. But when Jesus saw their faith, he spoke to the paralytic., your sins are forgiven. And there were some of the scribes sitting there meditating in their hearts. Why does this man thus speak blasphemy? What sins can he commit if not God? And directly Jesus said to them in his spirit, for thus they are meditating within themselves, what are you meditating on? in your hearts? What is better?, say to the paralytic, your sins are forgiven, or say, ἔγειρε καὶ ἆρον τὸν κράβαττόν σου καὶ περιπάτει; ἵνα δὲ εἰδῆτε ὅτι ἐξουσίαν ἔχει ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἀφιέναι ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἁμαρτίας – λέγει τῷ παραλυτικῷ· Σοὶ λέγω, bow and tie your tie and go to your house.
