First Presanctified Evening Divine Liturgy at Megali Panagia
Our Church has determined on all Wednesdays and Fridays of Great Lent that the Liturgy of the Consecrated Gifts be celebrated.
In the Holy Metropolitan Church of Megali Panagia,in Mykonos Town, His Eminence Fr. Petros Maragos was born on Wednesday, 01 Of March 2023, the first evening Presanctified Divine Liturgy of the Contemplative Period of Holy and Great Lent, in the presence of reverent parishioners and Mykonian believers, who participated in the Divine Liturgy.
The Ap. Paul writes: "Christ suffered for you, to you hypocrites, to follow in his footsteps" (A' Peter. Β΄, 21), Christ suffered to "open" the way for us, so that by following in His footsteps we too can reach deification.
"The first Pre-consecrated Th. Liturgy of the Holy Gifts for the period of Holy and Great Lent, tonight we celebrated and sang the Mass of our Holy Father Nikolaos priest of Plana, from the island of Naxos. After the Consecration of Th. Operation, Artoklasia was performed and the faithful worshiped the fragment of his Holy Relic, which is kept in the Holy Vault of the Metropolitan Church of Megali Panagia. Good month with the prayer to Our Lady, to comfort the wounded hearts of all people who lost their relatives in the tragedy we are living and our Jesus Christ, να αναπαύσει τις ψυχές όλων των τελειωθέντων που τόσα άδικα έφυγαν και να δώσει την υγεία και την ίαση σώματος και ψυχής όλων των τραυματιών…»
