Saint Onesimus, one of the seventy Apostles, he was a slave in the house of the Roman lord Philemon, who came from Phrygia and became a Christian from the Apostle Paul. Onesimus secretly left his master and went to Rome to visit the Apostle Paul. Thus he dedicated himself to the Ministry of the Church and Christians. After the martyrdom of the Apostle Paul, he was arrested by the prefect of Rome Tertullus and exiled to the Potioles in Italy. But Onesimus continued with zeal to preach the Word of God. When the prefect Tertylos visited his place of exile and was informed of his Christian activity, ordered the Saint to be arrested and tortured. They beat him mercilessly and broke his legs with sticks. At the end, after horrible suffering, Saint Onesimus was martyred and received the crown of martyrdom. His honest relic was received and buried by a rich but pious Roman Christian.
