Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple
The Despotic holiday was celebrated with reverence and enthusiasm of the Lord's Prayer at Mykonos. A crowd of people closed the celebratory Sanctuary and old Chapel, which is dedicated to the Intercession of our Christ, “of Panagia” in the Despotika area of Mykonos.
“Today is the Virgin Mary, he brings to the Temple, as an infant the Poet, whom you embrace, the Ambassador received, He preaches this God, though he took flesh”.
The nickname day, Thursday 02 February 2023, Orthros was performed and the solemn Divine Liturgy with Artoklasia, and the Divine Sermon of the Hierarchical Commissioner of Delos and Mykonos His Holiness p. Petrou Marangou, supported by the elder Fr. Georgios Kousathanas with the praying presence of Mykonian believers.
Hail Most Gracious Theotokos Virgin, for from you arose the Sun of justice, Christ our God, enlighten those in the dark. Eufranou and you, Ambassador, right, holding in his arms the liberator of our souls, giving us also the Resurrection.
