Celebration of Epiphany / The Epiphany in Mykonos was celebrated today with the usual splendor
It was celebrated again this year in Mykonos with due pomp and splendor, the Despotic Feast of Epiphanies according to the formal and pilgrimage arrangement.
On the morning of the holiday, the Solemn Divine Liturgy of the Epiphany and the sequence of the Great Sanctification were held in the Catholic Church of Panieros Metropolitan Church of the Great Virgin, minister of His Eminence Fr. Petro Maragos who was co-curated by the elder George Kousathanas
After the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Holy Clergy and the representatives of the Authorities, they went to the Three Wells where the Great Consecration took place.
Then the procession headed towards the pier of Agios Nikolaos “None” , where the Priests of the Island performed the sequence of the consecration of the waters, with the diving of the Holy Cross!
The Holy Cross, according to custom and to the applause of the audience, was recovered from the sea by Alexander Dantos of Nikolaos.

Cyclades Member of Parliament Katerina Monogyou attended the celebration, the Mayor of Mykonos Konstantinos Koukas, the Deputy Governor Stelios Brygos, representatives of local authorities, army's, of the Security Forces and the Coast Guard, Regional and Municipal Councillors.
