Saint Basil the Great, Archbishop of Caesarea and Doxology on the 1st of the Year
The first day of the year was celebrated with splendor, the Holy Cathedral of the Holy Virgin, during which our Church, honors the circumcision of our Lord Jesus Christ in the flesh and the memory of our holy father Basil the Great, Archbishop of Caesarea of Cappadocia.
After the performance of the bloodless Mystagogy and the reading of the celebratory message of our Most Reverend Metropolitan Mr.. Dorotheou B, the New Year's Doxology was performed, in the presence of the Deputy Regional Governor for Culture, Mr. Stelios Brigos, who illuminated the Holy lectern with his melodious voice, of the President of the Municipal Council Mr. Giorgos Rousounelou, of the Municipal Councilor and President of Mykonian Solidarity Mr. Antonis Kousathanas and the Deputy Portmaster of Mykonos, Mr. Panagiotis Katsaras, we blessed Agiovasiliopita and Mrs. Ιακωβίνα Νάττιγκ “κέρδισε” το φλουρί, in which Fr. Peter, he offered her an icon of Saint Basil for blessing!
During the distribution of the antidoro and the Agiovasiliopita, offered to the faithful, το ημερολόγιο τσέπης της Ιεράς Μητροπόλεως μας, που είναι αφιερωμένο στην 200η επέτειο από την εύρεση της θαυματουργού Εικόνας της Ευαγγελίστριας Τήνου και από μία Καινή Διαθήκη.
Στο τέλος των Ιερών Ακολουθιών, οι πιστοί συνόδευσαν την εικόνα του Αγίου Βασιλείου και την επανεθρόνησαν στο ομώνυμο Ιερό Παρεκκλήσιο στην Λίμνη, όπου χθες βράδυ τελέσθηκε ο Πανηγυρικός Εσπερινός!
