A multitude of devout Mykonians and vacationers attended the High Priestly Divine Liturgy held at the Metropolitan Church of Megali Panagia on the holy memory of Crete during its origin, Saint Neomartyr Manuel, of Mykonos.
A bi-priestly Divine Liturgy was held today, Sunday 25 September 2022, in the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Great Panagia of Mykonos, of His Eminence Ioannina Mr. Maximos and co-minister of the Reverend Mr. Dorotheou B, with the participation of city vicars, on the holy memory of Saint Neomartyr Manuel of Crete, who lived for decades in Mykonos and, you have left it for professional activities, martyred in Chios, before 230 years.

The Eminence. Δωρόθεος Β’ καλωσόρισε με εγκάρδιους λόγους και ευχαρίστησε τον Σεβασμιώτατο Μητροπολίτη Ιωαννίνων κ. Maximus for his liturgical presence and begged him to also undertake the ministry of the Word.
The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Ioannina Mr. Maximus, after thanking His Excellency Mr. Δωρόθεο Β’ για την πρόσκληση και την φιλοξενία του, he congratulated the Mykonians on their piety, which is also manifested in the multitude of chapels scattered throughout the island, as well as for love, the kindness and respect he received from them!
He urged them to remain faithful, at any cost, in Christ and the Greek Orthodox traditions, following and imitating the example of today's honored Saint Neomartyr Manuel, of Crete, who remained faithful unto death!
Before the end of the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence Mr.. Δωρόθεος Β’ τίμησε με το Μετάλιο της Ιεράς Μητροπόλεως το Φιλανθρωπικό Σύλλογο «Μυκονιάτικη Αλληλεγγύη», which is mainly active in the important work of voluntary Blood Donation, in the presence of its first President and Founder, of the teacher Mr. Io. Gyftokostas and the current President, Municipal Councilor and Businessman Mr. Antonio Kousathanas.
