This special celebration, underlined, of the anniversary of 200 years since its revolution 1821 during the completion of 100 years since the founding of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, of the first province of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, is an unforgettable honor for the Greek American community. As he stressed, is at the same time a powerful signal that is transmitted throughout the world, with the unwavering commitment of the two nations, in the notions of Democracy and Freedom at a time of rising authoritarian regimes in the world and at a time marked by the struggle of the people of Ukraine to maintain their national integrity in the face of unjust aggression.

The Archbishop of America, addressed first to President Biden, stressed that his friendship with Hellenism and his support for the Hellenic Republic are known to all, while addressing the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, stressed that he reached beyond the borders of Greece to invite the best in the world and to offer the best for our country.

"You both make us extremely optimistic for a better world and a brighter tomorrow with Greece being the source of the democratic values ​​of Western Civilization and America being the strongest hope of the universe for freedom and self-determination for all.", he stressed.

The Archbishop of America thanked both leaders "for their strong support for justice and especially for freedom, of the purely spiritual mission of our Ecumenical Patriarchate ".
