Chios is visited by 6 until 9 September the Archbishop of America Mr.. Promising.
The Association of North Americans of America "Pelinnaion - Agia Markella" takes care of the visit of the Archbishop. Mr.. Elpidoforos had officiated at the festive evening during this year's celebration at the privately owned church of the North Yorkers Association in New York. There the Archbishop had revealed that he, too, was descended from Chios by his grandfather. This was also the reason for the invitation to the ongoing visit.
The arrival and reception of the Archbishop at the airport of Chios will take place on 12.00 at noon on Monday 6 September and his departure on 7.00 on Thursday morning 9 September.
