Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew preceded the Divine Liturgy for the feast of Pentecost, today, at the Patriarchal Church, collaborators of the Philadelphia High Priests Melitonos, Myriophytou and Peristaseos Irineos, Sassimon Gennadiou, Προυσης Ιωακείμ, Hierapolis of Antonios and Pamphilos Daniel.
After the end of the Divine Liturgy, His Holiness presided over the Vespers of the Holy Spirit, during which he also read the wishes of Goniklisia.
The Bishop of Koman, Michael, went to church, Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Kiev, the former President of Ukraine, Pi. Poroshenko, with his close associates, Stavros Christodoulidis and Maksym Vdovychenko, consuls of Greece and Ukraine respectively, as well as a small number of believers, since every Sunday restrictive measures apply to travel due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Subsequently, His Holiness received the former President of Ukraine, with his wife, Marina and his associates. The meeting was also attended by the Metropolitan of the Elders of Chalcedon, Emmanuel.
At noon, The President attended the patriarchal bank and so the interlocutors had the opportunity to continue their discussion on various current issues and the patriarchal visit to Kiev next August.
