Samaritan Sunday was celebrated in a brilliant atmosphere at the Center of Orthodoxy, day on which the Ecumenical Patriarchate celebrates the Synod of all the Holy Archbishops and Patriarchs of Constantinople.

The Rev. Metropolitans of Geron Derka, Mr. Apostle, Geron Prykiponnisos Mr. Dimitrios, Orthodox Sunday was celebrated with brilliance at Fanari. Chrysostom, Kalliupoleos and Madytos Mr. Stephanos, Theophilus. Bishop of Bodrum Mr.. Hadrian, the President of the Board of Directors of the Fraternity of Officials "Panagia i Pammakaristos" and Political Governor of Mount Athos, Archon Exarchos Entim. K. Maxim Vdovichenko, Consul of Ukraine, believers from the City and a large group of pilgrims from Ukraine.
After the end of the Divine Liturgy, His Holiness blessed the pilgrims from Ukraine, expressing his great joy that he will visit their country next August, on the occasion of the completion of thirty years since its independence.
“You are in a holy place, in Poland and the area where the Ecumenical Councils met. From here the missionaries were sent, who preached the Gospel of Christ to the Slavic peoples. You, when you came here from Ukraine, You are not a visitor, but come to your house, to your Mother Church”, said His Holiness to the pilgrims, who in turn expressed their gratitude to the Patriarch and the Ecumenical Patriarchate for awarding the Volume of Autocephaly to the Church of Ukraine.
Immediately after, Archon Exarchos Mr. Athanasios Martinos, in his speech, during the reception given for today's celebration, in the Auditorium of Eugenideiou, referred to the goals and upcoming actions of the Brotherhood "Our Lady of Pammakaristos", among which, as he said, it is also the realization of a festive event, next November in Athens, on the anniversary of the thirty years since the election and enthronement of the Ecumenical Patriarch Mr.. Bartholomew. He wished that the presence of His Holiness would be possible at the event. ” May God grant you health and longevity, to keep You in Your blessed struggles and in Your good witness for the truth, for freedom in Christ and for love, the crucified and doxological one. It flowed, Your Holiness, many years to you”, concluded Archon Mr. Martin.
In his objection, His Holiness referred to the importance of the feast of the Holy Archbishops and Patriarchs of Constantinople, which was established shortly after his recovery to the Patriarchal Throne, and warmly welcomed the President of the Brotherhood, and the present Lords, and in their person he thanked all the Officials of the Throne for their multidimensional support to the work of the Mother Church.
