The Eminence. Dorotheos II performed this morning the Sequence of the Presanctified Holy Gifts in the Holy Temple of the Annunciation of the Virgin,Cork, in the Makrotantalo area of Cabo Doro,………… with the participation of the Vicar of the area, Protopr. Panagiotis Manidakis, and the presence of the Deputies Mrs. Aikat. Monogyou and Mr. Phil. Loading, of the Prefect of Andros Mr.. Δημ. Laskaris, of the Mayor of Andros Mr.. Dimitriou Lotsari, of the Deputy Mayor of Gavrio, Mrs. Athena Kozanitou, of Deputy Mayor Batsios Mr.. Nick. Mustachio, of the President of the Local Community of Makrotantalos Mr.. Andr. Τριδήμα, Municipal Councilors and residents of the area, who arrived in compliance with the rules of health protection.
He preaches the divine word, His Eminence Mr.. Dorotheos II referred to the semantic and theological content of the word “Easter”, which literally means “crossing”, “passage” and theologically the passage, the passage from the Law of the Old Testament to the Grace of the New, from darkness to light, from the old to the new, the new life.
He reminded that in order to cross from one bank to another, personal effort is required, struggle and experiential reception of the Cross to taste the joy of the Resurrection, with sincerity and honesty towards God and fellow human beings.
