As he notes, "We are entering the new year of the Lord's service after a difficult year, which left deep traces of pain and loss in our hearts. Last year prepared us for 2021 teaching us the temporality of our loved ones and our duty to care for the suffering of our fellow human beings more than for ourselves, as the light of Christ can shine in our hearts despite the obstacles to the divine worship brought by the pandemic ".

As he emphasizes, "We welcome the new year with faith and hope for better days with the same certainty that every day that passes is a gift from God, another crossroads on our way, an extra ray of light even if it is January, as a month, seems the darkest of all ".
