The Divine Liturgy was performed by the Professor of the Holy Monastery, His Eminence Archimandrite Fr.. Alexios Papadopoulos, with the prayerful presence of pious and philanthropic Mykonos who came to honor the revered Saint Kimoliatissa and to ask her for her embassy.

Holy Methodius is a Saint of the Orthodox Church who was born and practiced asceticism in Kimolos in the late 19th century..
The Holy Method the enclosed (1865-1908) whose memory is honored every 5 of October is one of the most peculiar forms of modern orthodoxy. The world-famous Irini Sardi was born and lived in Kimolos and when her husband was lost in a shipwreck she chose to follow the lonely life with the name nun Methodia.
Saint Methodius from an early age had an inclination towards the divine and always attended the Church. When he came of age, so as not to pity her parents, married a sailor in the profession. Although married, her zeal for the church remained undiminished.
But once her husband, on one of his trips, sank near Asia Minor and never returned to Kimolos. Then Irene became a nun in the church of Panagia Odigitria in Kimolos, by the then Archbishop of Syros Methodius renamed instead of Peace, Method.
Her joy was great and she followed the evangelical commands of the Lord with all her soul. Her ascetic struggles were great and she was a living example for everyone. The fame of her great virtue spread everywhere and many women went to meet her, in order to find spiritual refuge and harbor from the storms of life.
The word of the Saint was coolness and healing to the afflicted souls. Also the Method, among other gifts, claimed by God and the gift to work miracles.
So holy since she lived her whole life, passed away peacefully on Sunday 5 October 1908 At the age 43 years.
Most of the Holy Relics of the Saint are located in the Hodegetria Church of Kimolos.
