The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America was informed with joy and gratitude the news that A.T.. His Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Mr.. Bartholomew and the Holy and Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate accepted the proposal of the Holy Provincial Synod of our Archdiocese for the election of three Assistant Bishops on the basis of three persons, which were sent in accordance with the Regulations and the Statutory Charter of our Holy Archdiocese………
Based on the above, The Mother Church today elected three distinguished clergymen of the Holy Archdiocese of America to the office of Bishop.: τον π. Spyridon Kezio as Bishop of Amastrido, τον π. Timotheos Bakakos as Bishop of Examili and Fr.. John Constantine as Bishop of Phocaea.
Both the dates and the temples in which the three episcopal ordinations will take place will be announced in the coming days.. All ordinations will take place in accordance with the prescribed health protocols for Covid – 19.
