The World Council of Churches (English. World Council of Churches,
abbreviation. PSE) is an ecumenical Christian organization, of which
purpose is the promotion of Christian unity.

 

It is society 340 churches, of which the 157 are members
of, and represents over 550 millions of Christians, in
more than 100 Countries.

 

It was founded on 23 August 1948, and to its founding members
included the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, the
