With an unprecedented participation of believers and pilgrims, all ages, small ones
children, of male and female students took place tonight on the holy island

and were accompanied by the Mayor of Tinos, the Vice President and its members
Administering the Holy Foundation Committee, representatives of the Police
Department, of the Port Authority and the Fire Brigade, its President
Panhellenic Federation of Teachers, the Regional Director of Education
Ν. Aegean, Municipal and Regional Councilors from Tinos and
Mykonos and School Counselors, while the PIIET Philharmonic played them
traditional chants of the day “Two tapeworms citizens…” and “Hello
Virgin Mary…”
On the platform of Pantanassi, the Mayor of Tinos delivered the eulogy
of the day, referring to the fact of the Discovery, which supports and
on which Tinos rests today, which inspires a spirit of cooperation
and social solidarity in its society.
Subsequently, the Honorable Chairman of the Steering Committee Mr. Dorotheos
B’ revealed the names of 3 students of the General High School of Tinos and
3 students of EPAL Tinos, who were awarded in the 2nd optional studentship
Competition, which was organized this year by the Holy Foundation, on the topic of Finding
of the Holy Icon, who were applauded by them
present, especially after one of the awardees declared that he would
deposit the amount in his School Fund “who has it more
need”, as he said!
The event, after the spectacular fireworks display, headed to the Holy Temple of the Three Hierarchs, where and unsolved.
