With the first, August 6th is established as a public holiday of local importance for the Municipality of Agios Nikolaos, Crete, in commemoration of the battle of Vrysa, at 6 August 1867.
With the second decree, October 20 is established as the day of celebration of the memory of the Holy Great Martyr Artemios, in the region of Mykonos.

Theme: The proclamation of October 20 was scheduled, commemoration day of Saint Artemios as a public holiday for the island of Mykonos.
An old and fair request of the residents of Mykonos found a response following the initiative of the Vice President of the South Aegean Regional Council and. Konstantinos Koukas, more specifically that of the proclamation of his memorial day Agios Magalomartyr Artemios as a holiday for the Regional Unit of Mykonos.
As is well known, on October 20 the memory of the Saint is solemnly celebrated in Mykonos and the inhabitants of the island, they consider him Agios Artemios their patron and regularly name their children after him.
However, although attempts were made and in the past the Greek State had not officially recognized the Patron Saint by establishing the day of his celebration as a holiday. After coordinated actions of Mr. Kouka with the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Syros Mr. Dorotheo II the request received a positive response from the responsible Minister of the Interior, Mr. Euripides Stylianides, who promoted the request of the residents of Mykonos.
The Minister, in the presence of Mr.. Kouka at the Ministry of Interior in Athens, signed the decision establishment of October 20 as a public holiday, for the Regional Unit of Mykonos and the issuance of the relevant Presidential Decree in the Government Gazette is now awaited for the decision to take effect.
