Sunday of the Holy Cross / The glory of the Church and the symbol of victory of Life over death, the Holy and Living Cross of our Lord, commemorate the Third Sunday of Lent, of the Pilgrimage of the Cross "Aviola", 23 Of March 2025, the Metropolitan Church of Megali Panagia, in Mykonos Town.
The Orthro and then the magnificent Divine Liturgy was performed by the High Priestly Commissioner of Delos & Mykonos, The Most Reverend p. Petros Maragos, with the co-praying presence of the Mayor, Christou Veronis, of the president of DEYAM – Municipal Councillor, Dimitris Lazaridis, Municipal Councilors and Mykonian faithful, who came reverently to pay the highest honor and worship to the supreme symbol of the Christian faith.

The Reading is from the Gospel According to Mark 8:34-38; 9:1
In the gospel passage of the day our Lord calls us to take up our own cross and follow him. According to Synaxari, our church appointed in the middle of Holy and Great Lent the veneration of the Holy and Life-giving Cross of our Lord, so that we Christians who are going through the crusade of fasting and abstinence may draw strength from it.
