The Glorious Prophet Elias (Elijah) – Divine Liturgy / "The fiery ascension of the Holy Glorious Prophet Helios of Thesvitos" was celebrated with special splendor in Marathi Mykonos.

In the crowded Mykonian faithful and vacationers, Magnificent Chapel of the Prophet Elias, των Οικογενειών της Ανουσώς Τόλη και Θεόδωρου Ρουσουνέλου, όπου τιμούν και ευλαβούνται ιδιαιτέρως τον Προφήτη Ηλία και επιμελούνται κάθε χρόνο ξεχωριστή πανήγυρη με πλούσια θρησκευτική, cultural and island identity.
On the main day of the feast, the Orthros and the Divine Liturgy with Artoklasia were held, με την συπροσευχητική παρουσία του Αντιιδημάρχου Δημήτρη Κουτσούκου και δημοτικών συμβούλων, minister of the High Priestly Commissioner of Mykonos & Delos, His Eminence Archpriest Fr. Petrou Marangou, in the old and proud Holy Chapel of the Prophet Ilias of the Families of Anousos Tolis and Theodoros Rousounelos, where he preached the divine word referring, among other things, to the earthly angel, the great prophet Elias the Thesvite.

Αξίζει να αναφέρουμε ότι τους ύμνους απέδωσε οι ιεροψάλτες του Ιερού Ναού Μητροπολιτικού Ναού της Μεγάλης Παναγιάς, Αλέξανδρος Ιωακείμ και Κοσμάς Μαραγκός .
Most of the congregation came to Holy Communion, young and old.
Before the end of the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence Fr. Peter, ομίλησε για την ζωή του Προφήτη Ηλία, thanked the family of Mrs. Annousos Tolis, owner of the old chapel, for her kind invitation and love and informed the faithful about the fundraiser of philanthropy and love of the Holy Metropolis that is being held during this period and thanked them in advance, for their always willing help.
