The Holy Forty Martyrs / With dignity and with the rich blessing of the Holy Glorious Forty Great Martyrs, this year the holy and greatest memory of them was celebrated again “soldiers” of Christ, of those martyred in the Lake of Respect, during the Second Week of Lent, in Mykonos.
In Panigirizonto, in the once parishioner, Holy Church of the Holy Forty Martyrs, in Mykonos Town, this morning the Pre-sanctified Divine Liturgy was held under the Reverend Mr. Dorotheou B, assisted by the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Tourliani, Archimandrite Alexios Papadopoulos and his Deacon, with the prayerful presence of all the Priests of Mykonos and with the presence of the students of two Classes of A’ Mykonos Primary School, accompanied by the Director Ms. Angelopoulou and teachers of the School, of the Mayor of Mykonos Mr.. Konstantinos Koukas, of the Municipal Councilors Frantzescos Vigliaris, Antonis Kousathanas and many Mykonian believers.

In the Parish Church of the Holy Forty Martyrs,honest and fragrant Relics of the Saints are kept, which were filed by His Excellency Mr. Dorotheos II 2011, offered to him by Rev. Metropolitan of Emmesis Mr. George, during his visit to the Holy Metropolis of Emmesis, today's Homs, of Syria.

The Eminence. Dorotheos II in his speech, after expressing his joy at the presence of teachers, of male and female students, to whom he addressed admonitions and words of paternal love, referred to today's honored Saints Tessarakonda, and that of Aristotle was invoked “valiant about the death of leave”, (Nicomachean Ethics), he is brave, that is, who is not afraid of death, and emphasized that the Forty Saints marched fearlessly and courageously toward death and thus won immortality.
Addressing the male and female students, he asked them to remain faithful to the truths of right faith and life and wished them good progress and called on the congregation to remain mentally brave and brave, because, as Homer mentions “A brave man in all respects (odyssey the 51), the courageous man, that is, excels in everything.
