Archbishop of America Elpidophoros sent a strong message against gun ownership in the United States of America on social media.
As he noted, "in the early hours 24 days of the new year took place 39 mass shooting incidents with more than 1.200 people. We hear so much about the right to life, yet we deny life itself by allowing weapons of mass destruction to circulate virtually freely and in abundance”, underlined.
"It's an emergency", concluded the Archbishop, "to find a more effective and better way of managing this tragic situation, because every human life is precious".
