Today our Church honors the memory of Saint Athanasios and in Mykonos the memory of the Great Saint was celebrated with splendor in the homonymous Solemn Church in Lakka, of Mykonos Town.
With the participation of Mykonian believers, on the day of the feast, a divine service was held by the priest of the High Priestly Commissioner of Delos & Mykonos, of February. Petrou Marangou, flanked by the elder Fr. George Kousathanas.
Saint Athanasios Patriarch of Alexandria, "the most heroic of Saints and holiest of Heroes".
Memorizing, Well, today this great hierarch of our Church, Athanasios the Great, let us learn from his patience and determination in trials.
Athanasius of praise, virtue I praise. They say this and that and praise you".
(In praising Athanasius I will praise virtue. Because Athanasius and virtue are the same thing. When I refer to him I praise virtue).
