The letter of the Church of Greece is as follows:

Your Excellency, Archbishop of Crete, We are over and out of Europe, President of the Holy Provincial Synod of Crete, in Christ of God very dear and adventurous brother, Mr. Eugene.

The Permanent Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, at this Session of the 11th of January e.e., I was not informed, by the gracious Grace of God and the Honorable vote of the Seven Hierarchs of the constituents of the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Throne, Honorable election of His Eminence on the Throne of the Provincial Holy Synod of the Church of Crete, ήκομεν εν ευφροσύνη πνευματά ίνα εκφράσωμεν.

May God, our Lord, make us a glorious homemaker of the sister Church of Crete, to the glory of God and the ease of the Orthodox Church and the gift of the Hymn Hierarchy far away, fruitful and blessed.
