He goes to the Ecumenical Patriarchate the day after tomorrow, Sunday 14 Of March, the Archbishop of America Elpidophoros in order to attend the enthronement of the newly elected Metropolitan Elder Chalkidonos Emmanuel which is set for next Saturday, 20 Of March, at the Holy Trinity Cathedral, in Chalcedon………….
Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will officiate at the enthronement, while many Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Throne are expected to attend, other Patriarchates and Orthodox Churches and of course the Church of Greece.
The Greek government is expected to be represented by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for issues of Hellenism Abroad and for the Orthodox Churches in the Diaspora, Konstantinos Vlasis.
The Archbishop of America Elpidophoros, who had visited Istanbul for the last time last August, will have a meeting and cooperation with the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on all matters concerning the Archdiocese of America.
